DIY: leather cut out sandals

I’ve had these sandals from Victoria’s Secret forever, but have not worn them in years. They just had a strap over the toes and around the ankle. I decided to update them similar to the ones by Hale Bob.
I bought the leather and feathers at JoAnn Fabrics. I had coupons for everything so I think I only ended up spending $7! I cut the shape of the leather and then used the exact-al knife for the cut outs. I just free handed the design and made it up as I went. The cutting did get easier once you get used to the technique. Then I used Gorilla glue to adhere the leather pieces to the sandals.
